Birthday

Image
Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well. This week went by super fast which was good. A lot of hard work finding and teaching but still not a lot of people coming to church sadly.  This last week has honestly not been a very interesting or exciting week but yesterday was my companions birthday so some of the members got him stuff which when they got him stuff they ended up just getting me stuff too which was funny.  We have been working super hard on finding families in this ward that have relatives that aren't baptized and that are inactive themselves. Sadly we haven't found tons of people this way yet but I know we will with this ward having more than 700 inactive members.  That's really it for this week, not much sorry haha.  8 ¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts Just wanted to share this s...

The Church Is True

Image
Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well. This week was good and went really fast. We have been working hard and that's when you start to see the most results and when time flies. This week we had zone conference where president and Hermana Woahn shared their baptism conversion stories and it was so spiritual. President is the only member in his family and was converted when he was 17. It really showed me how important and life changing the true gospel is. Today we went to the zoo haha. It was actually super cool and is one of the biggest zoos in central america. I hadn't been in years but it was actually super cool to see all of the animals from all over the world.  This week we also had a Cristian missionary come up to us and start talking to us in English trying to very kindly disprove our religion. It was really kinda funny to have him try to disprove our religion and the Book of Mormon but all of his statements were just misunderstandings about verses.  Anyways that...

San Jose Pinula

Hey everyone today was a good week and a little bit of a longer week but overall it was good. My new companion is Elder Anthony and he is awesome and we have been getting along well. We have different work styles but we have started to work well together.  San Jose Pinula is a lot different than what I am used to so it has been a little bit of a transition. It's not a super city but it's more suburbs. where before it was like pretty much a little town in the middle of nowhere. The members here are awesome and the ward had about 115 people at church which was a big change from the 30 people max I was used to seeing in my last 2 areas. It's so cool to see how big the church really is in all parts of the world. We had lots of success this week finding 14 people this week when last transfer they found 13 people in 6 weeks. so the work is up and going haha.  This week we met with an inactive member named Javier who has gone from having wonderful family friends and being active i...

Goodbye Pueblo Nuevo Viñas

Image
Hey everybody, this was a shorter week and this next week will be a longer one without a p day. We figured out transfers this week and I was 99 percent sure I was staying since my comp is going home and we both got taken out of the area. I was really kinda upset at first because I love pueblo nuevo vinas and everyone there. I was really looking forward to baptizing Ronney and have gotten so close to him but now a member will baptize him as I am leaving the area. He will be great though and I am so happy for him and his decision to be baptized. I didn't get to say goodbye to the members as we left a little earlier than I had hoped but they are super special to me and I love them all. That branch is growing and I can't wait to see where it is by the end of my mission. We had fun this week and went on a little hike and looked at some rivers to potentially baptize Ronney in but now that isn't my thing but it was super fun to go and explore around.  For now I am off to an area c...

Baseball P Day

Image
Hey everyone I hope you're all doing amazing! This week was really boring to be honest and not much went down. It's the last week of the transfer so we will have transfers next week which means my p day will land on Monday. I'll be staying in this area for my 3rd transfer. I'm happy about that because I love the area I'm in and the members are great. The only downside is the hills and the area is smaller than others. I don't know who my next companion is going to be but I will figure out Sunday night so I'm excited to see who that is. This will be my 6th companion in 6 transfers which is crazy because I haven't stayed with a companion more than a transfer. This week really was kinda boring, just the same old stuff, nothing too exciting to talk about. We have our baptism on March 11th which I'm really excited for. The branch is really happy because nobody has gotten baptized in this area in over a year and a half.  Today was zone p day which was reall...
