Wedding Y Baptism

Image
This week was such a crazy fast week and was full of fun things we had to do. It started off Thursday with zone conferences which were a good spiritual boost to keep going and to not give up. On Friday we had the wedding of Sarai and Alejandro. When I got here she wanted to get baptized but wasn't married and was living with Alejandro so couldn't get baptized. We changed that a week later by doing all of her paperwork to get married and surprising her with her wedding. She was excited and so was Alejandro. The wedding was a lot different than in the states. It was 30 minutes of signing papers and then that was it.  On Sunday Sarai got baptized and it was awesome. She was so excited to get baptized and was crying before because of how ready she said she felt to get baptized. Dago also got baptized and he has changed so much for the gospel 4 months ago his son passed away and since then he has been trying to change and accept Christ. He stopped smoking and drinking alcohol and co...

Moyuta

Hey everyone hope you're all well this week was crazy. We got a call Thursday morning from President that there was a companionship struggling in Moyuta, so he was going to make some changes. With that I was emergency transferred out to moyuta and one of them was brought to my area. I was a little sad leaving the 2 people we had on baptismal date but was super happy to get back into the country and get to work.  We are working so hard, maybe the hardest I have in my mission so far. There's usually always someone home in the country so we have been leaving the house around 10:30 and not coming home until around 8 for dinner. I've been exhausted every night but the days fly.  We put a lady named Sarahi on baptismal date this week for the 21st. She isn't married but after we found out that marriage was all that was keeping her from being baptized we went the next day without her to a judge and got all of her paperwork done to be married and will be going to her wedding Fri...

Baptism & Zone Conference

Well, the start of this week was really good and went by so fast. This week we had zone conference and it was so good. We talked a lot about the holy ghost and the power it has in lessons. We talked about how if we have the holy ghost with us in every lesson then people will be more likely to stay interested because they can feel the spirit. This week we also had the baptism of Sebastián which was awesome. I have only met him like 3 times but he instantly became one of my best friends. He's 18 and got to know the church through playing basketball. He then started investigating the church and was baptized a little while later and wants to serve a mission.  I was asked to give a 5-8 minute little talk at his baptism and prepared by writing down 2 scriptures and planned to just talk about the holy ghost from there to take up the rest of the time. I wasn't nervous at all until 15 minutes before the baptism we had a surprise visit from President and his wife who decided to show up f...
