This week was awesome! It's crazy how every day, my testimony of the gospel continues to grow no matter what happens. The mission truly is the best thing someone can do to strengthen their faith in Jesus Christ. This week, we saw lots of success finding and teaching people and are hoping to set up 2 more people on a date with Luis, who's currently on a date. Transfers were this week, and it was so amazing to see all of the missionaries who I have grown to love on the mission again. My new companion is Elder Martinez from El Salvador, and I'm training him! Training is hard and a little exhausting at times, but it is definitely the learning experience I needed. It has helped me realize the aspects of missionary work I need to improve on as well, which is awesome. My companion loves to cook, so it's a bonus having him make food from El Salvador every day. When he doesn't cook, the elder from Mexico usually ends up doing something, so it's been great to try differen...

Transfers

Hey all, I hope you're doing well. I've been feeling awesome! This week went by really fast, and it was the last week before transfers. I love this area and the group here; we're hoping it becomes a branch very quickly. This week was focused on trying to find new people and working with those we already have. We've set a baptismal date for a kid named Luis on August 6th and are also hoping to set a date for his sister. Additionally, we celebrated my companion's birthday this week, which was a lot of fun. We had cake and lasagna for dinner, and it was amazing. The day after, we received news about transfers. I'll be staying in my current area and training a new missionary. I'm excited to keep working hard and continue growing as a person. Love you all, EC

This week went super fast, and it was pretty awesome. I'll drop a few highlights below with some pictures: Got gifted a tie by a member's daughter. Went to a hot spring today for P-day. It was pretty sick, but the 3-hour walk there wasn't. We fertilized some coffee with an investigator, which was awesome. Had a little birthday party for my companion today. Went fishing for a little bit. Got absolutely dumped on by rain and had to trench through the mud. We play "Cover Your Assets" every night with the four of us elders who live together. A couple of weeks ago, there was bread when a chicken jumped and ate half of my bread. Got revenge, and we ate that chicken this week. That's all for this week. Love you all. Elder Carter

Be Easy

What's up, everyone? This week was a little busy with exchanges with the ZLS and having a zone conference with the new president. Exchanges this week were awesome, and it was so good to be back with Elder Ellsworth for one day. I actually went on exchanges to the same place I went on them my second week of the mission. It was weird to see people I saw and met 10 months ago. Hopefully, my Spanish has improved a little since then. Our new presidents are awesome. They came into the mission fired up to do missionary work, and it's great. They're super loving and kind, and willing to do anything to help anyone. It was also awesome having to travel 5 hours for a 2-hour meeting..... but here we are. Right now I'm living in a house of 4, and it's great. We all work during the day, then come home and play cards at night. Right now, "Cover Your Assets" has been the big hit. We've started playing every night, but it slowly somehow has gotten more heated every day...
