Learning How To Work

Image
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. This week was a crazy one with Christmas.     First off, a few days before Christmas we had a mission devotional where the whole mission got together. It was so awesome and so spiritual and it was so fun to be with the whole mission and see some people I hadn't seen in a while. After that we had christmas eve which is celebrated more than christmas here. Everyone eats tamales on Christmas Eve and Christmas and they all light off fireworks at 12am at the same time. It's pretty cool.     Christmas was kinda weird because it didn't really feel like christmas. We had a lot of ppl at church, which was really good. Then we went to a member's house for lunch and played games. After that we went and handed out free bread to everyone on the streets which was my favorite part of the day. It was so fun to meet people and make their day with free bread.     On Tuesday we went and did a service project for an investigator as a distr...

Pueblo Nuevo Viñas

Hi everyone! Sending this email a little late cause we ran out of data and had to buy some more. Anyways this week was a longer one because it has been a week and a half since my last p day     My new comp is super nice and we get along well. We can communicate pretty well. Better than I thought, haha. Anyways he is 24 years old turns 25 Christmas eve so it's quite the age gap haha. He has 3 weeks left on the mission so his desire to work isn't much. Somehow he got anime on his phone and will watch that any chance he gets. (Maybe that's why we ran out of data) Anyways so it is kinda hard to get him out of the house to work, teach, and find but when I do he is a machine and is so good at teaching. It just takes a lot of work to get him out.     Anyways this was my first week in my new area and i love it. It's a super country way more than my last area. The people here are all super nice but are even more shocked to see a greengo than my last area haha so there's a lo...

Transfer Week

Hey everyone, I hope you're all doing well. This week was a short week because I had p day last Wednesday and now today because of transfers but now i will go a week and a half without one.      This week was super fun and funny. Me and my comp got chased by some dogs this week at night which looking back now is super funny. This may be gross to some of you so be warned here. but my comp let one rip during the middle of lesson this week with a lady. it shook the couch we were sitting on and i just started dying laughing i couldn't hold back. Then he had to keep talking and try not to laugh. after he had me say the prayer and he started laughing during the prayer quietly so only i could hear. Probably the funniest lesson I've had yet.     Also today we got some haircuts and the barber started playing some American music super loud. Shape of you by Ed Sheeran all the sudden is the best song i've heard in my life.     As you see in the title we have trans...

Bitten By Dog...

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is well. This week was so crazy and so much happened.     First off, if you read my email last week you heard that I got some cockroach bread. Well it happened again this week but this time when they walked away I tucked it away in my shirt cause there were even bugs on it when she handed it to me.      Second off, yes I got bit by a dog. It was pretty exciting and a shocking experience that caught me off guard when it happened. luckily it didn't break skin or anything and didn't hurt that bad. So i'm perfectly fine. The dog better watch out when I come back for round two Friday.     Third off we had Sharon's baptism on Sunday. It was so awesome and so special. She asked me to baptize her and I was so excited. She's super shy but was so ready to receive the gospel and was so happy to be baptized.     Fourth. My favorite investigator gifted me a coat after I told him this could be one of my last weeks in the are...
