Carter, Easton PT

Hey, I hope everyone is doing great. This week was awesome and went by super fast, which was great. We are seeing the hand of the Lord in our area, leading us every day and helping us find those who are ready in this area. This week, I had exchanges with the district leader, and it was awesome. We had a first "cita" with someone in their area, and she was almost brought to tears when we read 3 Nephi 11. We talked about baptism, and the first "cita" could have been put on a baptismal date. As some of you know, my companion and I have special assignments in this area, so we have fewer limits on our phones. Now, we have Uber, and we have been ordering a lot of Uber Eats to the house, which is nice because we have been eating food we haven't had in a long time. Hey everyone! This week was a little bit of a longer one because it was the first week of the transfer and I am adjusting to a new area, comp, and house again haha. This is my 4th area in the mission and my 7th companion including my mtc companion which is crazy. I'm yet to have the same companion for two transfers.  This new area is pretty good. It's an area pretty hard to work in because where we live is a lot of businesses and in zone 3 where all of the people live we can't enter unless we have a member with us. We have someone that will get baptized in 1 week or so. I met him when I got here and he is 19 and loves sports so we always just talk about the nba and basketball. I got to play him today and he was probably the best person I've played in Guatemala yet.  I'm hoping we can get this area up and going and find some more people to teach. A lot of people in the city where I'm at are a lot more closed off to listening to the gospel but we just have to keep...

Well this will just be a quick little email but yesterday we got transfer news and I am leaving San Jose Pinula and going to zone 1 in the city and trebol where I will be covering 2 areas. I am pretty sad to be leaving San Jose Pinula even though I've only been here for 5 weeks. I've gotten to know and love the people here so much in my little time. We worked so hard in this area and they should be having around 4 baptisms this next transfer which I am super excited to hear about.  This week was Easter and it was super cool to see all of the carpets and things they do to celebrate. I'll drop some pictures below.  Anyways that's it for this email, my next area I'm hoping to make relationships and friends as fast as I did here. Hello, I hope everyone had an amazing conference weekend. This week went by super fast and was amazing. I have always looked forward to general conference but even more so as a missionary. I loved how much they talked about charity. I started studying charity a couple months before the mission and have loved studying it ever since. My favorite talk was from the prophet about getting rid of all contention in our lives and replacing it with charity, the pure love of christ.  This week for conference weekend I had my mom send me her famous cookie recipe and me and my comp quickly got to work whipping out around 200 cookies Saturday through Monday. I didn't know making cookies was so easy. By the end we were throwing all the ingredients together and putting them in the oven in under 5 minutes. The cookies were a huge hit with one member eating around 14 in two days. He then asked how to use the oven (cause most people just use it for storage here) then asked for the recipe. This week w...
