Thanksgiving Cockroach Bread

Image
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. It seems like the weeks are just getting faster and faster which is good. This week we had like 8 lessons a day which is a ton but so good cause we were always busy.      For Thanksgiving we weren't expecting any food but got surprised by two different members! The first one gave us bread and hot chocolate which was so good! Until they asked us to take more bread and so we looked in the bag and there were cockroaches crawling all over all the bread. But they made us eat more so we ate it haha. My comp got a little sick but I was fine. Then later that night we got fed dinner and it was so good. My favorite mystery meat and mac n cheese.      We have a baptism this week so I am so excited for her. She is 10 and was the first door I knocked in Guatemala and now she's getting baptized. I am so happy for her.      Today we went to a nice restaurant for lunch and the server brought me a doughnut ...

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing amazing. Not much happened this week and there isn't much to update on sadly. The baptism we set for December 4th is still set so I'm getting excited for her!      With thanksgiving being tomorrow I want to say a few things I'm grateful for! I wanna first start by saying how grateful I am for the gospel. I am so grateful for the happiness and peace it brings me daily knowing there is a plan for me. And so grateful for the knowledge knowing I can live with my family forever. Secondly, I am grateful for a loving family! I am so grateful for all of them and all they have done for me. I am who I am today because of them.  I love you guys! Lastly, I am so grateful for my friends and all of the good memories I have with them. and for the good laughs I have had with them daily!     Anyways, we have this guy who works harvesting crops everyday on his farm. me and my comp love to see who can get him talking about his bananas or ...

Miracles

I wanna start by saying if you read any email of mine please read this one to the end. This week went so fast and was so crazy. I truly saw the blessings and miracles of a mission this week. We had a zone conference this week and it was awesome getting to see my old comp and some other missionaries. We also had exchanges so I got to be with elder ellsworth for the day which was a good switch up.     Now for the miracle story. Our mission president has invited us to extend a baptism invitation every week based on feelings and promptings of the spirit. This week we had a few people in mind but felt like we should extend the invitation to a girl named viviana. Our lesson with her was Saturday with Sunday being the last day to extend the invitation. Saturday, sadly the lesson fell through and she couldn't meet anymore. so we were left having nobody to extend an invitation to. We prayed that night and Sunday for a miracle and to lead us to someone ready for a baptism invitation. Al...

What's up everyone? This week was a great one and a super busy week that went by fast and slow depending on the day. it's also been over a week since my last p day so that could be it too. As you guys know, for transfers I'm staying here just with a new companion. My new companion is awesome. He is super nice and very hard working. We don't have as much in common as I did with my last comp but we still find similarities to talk about. This transfer we are covering 2 areas (cassias and nueva) so there is a lot more walking than usual because of how big our area is.     This week we put this little 10 year old girl named Sharon on date for baptism. She's set to get baptized on December 4th which is less than a month away. Sharon is one of my favorites because she is actually the first house I ever knocked on my mission. they opened the door and a month later she is on date! we also are hoping to put a family on date soon.      I am excited to still be here in nuev...
