Miracles
I wanna start by saying if you read any email of mine please read this one to the end. This week went so fast and was so crazy. I truly saw the blessings and miracles of a mission this week. We had a zone conference this week and it was awesome getting to see my old comp and some other missionaries. We also had exchanges so I got to be with elder ellsworth for the day which was a good switch up.
Now for the miracle story. Our mission president has invited us to extend a baptism invitation every week based on feelings and promptings of the spirit. This week we had a few people in mind but felt like we should extend the invitation to a girl named viviana. Our lesson with her was Saturday with Sunday being the last day to extend the invitation. Saturday, sadly the lesson fell through and she couldn't meet anymore. so we were left having nobody to extend an invitation to. We prayed that night and Sunday for a miracle and to lead us to someone ready for a baptism invitation. All Sunday we visited people we thought could be ready but felt like it wasnt the time to extend them an invitation at this time. By the end of the night we had not extended any invitation to anyone and were a little discouraged and down. On our way home we decided to knock on a door we had before. We knocked and were let in. In this lesson we talked with the dad for 30 minutes about the doctrine of Christ. about the holy ghost, and baptism and the blessings we gain from then. The spirit took over this lesson and guided the whole lesson from start to finish. At the end me and my comp felt so strongly to extend a baptism invitation and without hesitation he said yes. This was such a miracle and an answer to our prayers. I know that this is the true church and that our prayers are always heard and answered. I am so happy to be on a mission and the opportunity I have to be here teaching and helping people feel the happiness and peace I feel from the gospel. This experience was such a miracle for us and such a testimony builder that I'll never forget.
As well as this miracle this week i sent a reference to the guatemala city east mission. Later the next day I got a call from them to talk about the reference. It ended up being my boy's elder toone. It was such a blessing to get to talk to him about the reference and catch up a little with him. just another blessing of the week. I challenge you guys to count your blessings in your life daily and look for all the good.
