Learning How To Work
Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. This week was a crazy one with Christmas.
First off, a few days before Christmas we had a mission devotional where the whole mission got together. It was so awesome and so spiritual and it was so fun to be with the whole mission and see some people I hadn't seen in a while. After that we had christmas eve which is celebrated more than christmas here. Everyone eats tamales on Christmas Eve and Christmas and they all light off fireworks at 12am at the same time. It's pretty cool.
Christmas was kinda weird because it didn't really feel like christmas. We had a lot of ppl at church, which was really good. Then we went to a member's house for lunch and played games. After that we went and handed out free bread to everyone on the streets which was my favorite part of the day. It was so fun to meet people and make their day with free bread.
On Tuesday we went and did a service project for an investigator as a district where we harvested his coffee plants. It was funny because right when we got there my comp said this would be an experience for the greengos because they don't know how to work. Everyone here thinks white people can't work and if you are from the states you have maids and sit in your house all day. Anyways me and the other greengos joked all day that we learned how to work. let's just say my comp was very surprised to see that he had done the same amount of work as we had at the end of the day.
Anyways I love you all so much please send me a message!
Jesus is the bread of life!
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
