G Town

Hello everyone, I'm sorry it's been awhile since i have emailed this is my first p day in 2 weeks. I arrived in Guatemala on the 19th which was awesome. I had to say goodbye to some friends that I met in the ccm which was sad but I know they'll do great.

On Tuesday the 20th I got assigned to my area and trainer. I'm serving in Nueva Santa Rosa, Guatemala. It's what they call the country in my mission. A lot of people said it was their favorite area. So far I love it out here and everyone is so nice. Although they don't have much they are so grateful for what they have. Right now we are teaching two people a lot. The first kid is named Benedicto and he is 11. He is on date for baptism and he is awesome. The other person is a girl named Sharon and she is 10. She is super shy but is so sweet and is so nice. Hopefully we can put her on date for baptism soon. My comp is cool and we get along well. We both like sports so some days we will go play basketball against people in the park and the rule is if we win we get to teach them a lesson about the gospel. We end up teaching lessons like every time. A couple cool experiences I have had is that yesterday we got home from driving for 8 hours and I went to start cleaning when I felt like I shouldn't be cleaning. After that I started to study and didn't feel good about that either. After that I told my comp we needed to knock 5 houses and 1 of the 5 would be interested. Sure enough, at the 5th house they were interested and we will go teach them this weekend. On Friday we got to play soccer in the pouring rain and that was so fun.

I finished the Book of mormon this week and it feels so good to finish it. Also my Spanish isn't the greatest. I can understand little and talk even less but have faith it will get better. Faith has been such a big thing I have learned out here so far. Through faith we can do all things.

I miss you all so much and I love getting random messages from you all throughout the week. Message me or email me whenever and I will respond Wednesdays. Love you all
