New Year
Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well. The work is for sure going here and I love it so much. I love talking to everyone and I'm starting to get to the point where I can just talk to everyone and just joke around with them which is awesome.
This week even though it was new years we didn't do much. We had zone conference and it was so awesome. I had my interview with president and he is the best and you can truly tell he loves us. After that we just did our usual work for the rest of the week. This week I was able to get my comp out of the house more which was really good and we saw the success of working hard which hopefully helps him want to work hard everyday! He leaves Tuesday for his house which is so weird to me. I'll get a new comp Monday or Tuesday and most likely be with them for 2 months.
Anyways, for the new year we went to bed at 10:30. Woke up at 12 to all the fireworks and sat there until they stopped around 12:30 and tried to go back to bed.
Spiritual experience
So rewind back to my time in Nueva Santa rosa. One night we were walking down the street on our way home because it was late and we needed to be home. We were about home when we passed a mom, dad and their little baby in the street just sitting down. We passed without thinking anything when I felt like we needed to go back and talk to them. Although it was weird to turn around and go back and talk to them I told my comp and we did it. It went well and we thought nothing of it. A few weeks later I was randomly scrolling through people in the area book and stopped on a random name. I called it and realized it was the number of the lady and her husband who we talked to a couple weeks ago. We set up a lesson with them and it went pretty well and I got transferred to a new area. Well I didn't think much would happen with them to be honest but I was talking to the elders that are there and they have told me that they read the Book of Mormon and have come to church and are progressing very well. All this was because a little prompting to go talk to them.
Anyways I just wanna say how important it is to be worthy of having the Holy Ghost with you. Then following the promptings you get. I have never regretted following a prompting, only regretted not following a prompting from the Holy Ghost. Following promptings help build our testimony as well. Anyways that's all for this week.
Love you all
-Elder Carter
