Baptism

Hey everyone just wanted to send out a short email, this week was really good. Me and my new comp are getting along great and I'm excited to really get to work and find success. 

This last week I was in a different area for 2 days because my comp had to go to the city. The area I was in was called ixhuatan. It was a really cool area filled with hills to walk which was terrible. 

On Sunday we had a baptism for Mindy which was super exciting. I met Mindy around 3 weeks ago when I was in a trio working with the other elders in my area for a week and a half. She had a baptismal date. It got pushed back a week pushing the baptism to this week and it was awesome. 

This Sunday we also had an old missionary who served here around a year ago and finished his mission here come back to the area and give a talk. Everyone here loves him because a year ago in this area the church wasn't a thing and the 5 members had to drive 40 minutes to get to church. a When this elder opened up this area and started the church here around a year ago it grew like crazy with him being a huge part of it. Now the church is thriving here with around 35-45 people attending every week and has all the requirements to become its own branch.

It is so cool to see how much the church is growing everyday and see the blessings people receive from the gospel. I am so happy to be a part of this gospel and be able to share this gospel with others.
