Changes
Hey everyone, I know it's been a while since I've sent out an email, but here I am, and I'm still alive and doing great. This week was a pretty intense and jam-packed week.
The rainy season finally hit out here where I'm serving, and it has been non-stop since this week. It usually starts in May but came super late to Moyuta, but it is making up for it now.
This week was our president's last week before he is released and goes home. We had zone conference with him two weeks ago, which was awesome, but the branch I'm in got lucky, and he chose to come to our ward for his last Sunday. It was super awesome, and they were pretty emotional to leave everyone. It was also election Sunday for Guatemala, so we had to be in the house at 1.
Both of those things also happened to land on my birthday, which was pretty cool. The members here are the best and surprised me with a little cake and dinner on Saturday and Sunday, which was awesome. I loved my first birthday on the mission and loved receiving all of your texts and letters!
Today, we got together as a district and went on a hike thingy and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. It was amazing, and I didn't realize how much I missed roasted marshmallows. It was probably the best thing I've eaten on my mission so far.
A little spiritual thought I liked that I heard this week is that we should never be comfortable where we are at in life. Being uncomfortable means we are growing and learning. We especially shouldn't be comfortable with our knowledge of the gospel.
Love you all,
