Dog Bites, Baptisms, Transfers
Well, it's been a while since I've written, so I decided it's about time to write and give an update for those who still tune in.
To start off, three weeks ago was the last week of the transfer, and we had a baptism. Juan, an 11-year-old, decided to get baptized after coming to church by himself for weeks. His mom really didn't want him to be baptized, but after a spiritual experience with his mom, she gave the go-ahead. He was the only member of his family at his baptism, which was sad, but he was the happiest I've ever seen him since getting to know him four months ago.
Three weeks ago, I also got to go to my very first area for one day for a baptism, and it was awesome to see all the members and actually be able to talk to them. I got to see my first baptism, and it was the best. Sadly, I missed my other baptism there by five minutes.
Well, I was transferred to the city at last. After 11 months of serving in the same zone, I have been transferred to the city. It feels like I'm relearning how to be a missionary because of how different the work is here. I've been gifted another son here on the mission, so we are both figuring out the area, which has been a bit of a struggle. Needless to say, I'm learning, growing, and loving the work of the Lord.
Well, after transfers and everything, leaving the country where the dogs dwell and kill, I was bitten by a dog again, which is super rare in the city, haha. Luckily, today we found out the dog has its rabies shots and everything, so no harm, and everything is fine.
That's all for my three-week update. I have tons of pics, so I'll drop them below. Miss you all!
